The Coalition for Truth and Transparency in Adoption (CTTA) joined forces with advocates from the National Association of Adoptees and Parents (NAAP) and Right to Know as we staffed a booth at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) held in Louisville, KY August 6-8, 2024.
Strategically placed just down the way from the European Union's popular free coffee service, our location attracted many visitors from around the nation and the world who have personal connections to adoption, foster care, donor conception and DNA surprises.
Fresh new materials and an eye-catching US map provided guests with a powerful summary of the status of various state laws. It was a pleasure to see long-time connections, past bill sponsors, and new allies passionate about the cause.
Kentucky hospitality offered delicious food, cultural and historical settings, and a visit to world-famous and recently renovated Churchill Downs to experience the thunderous thrill of thoroughbreds racing for home. Thanks, NCSL, for another successful, enjoyable event!
